Recovery Thought of the Day - March 27

Good Morning CR Family!  Please see below for the Recovery Thought of the Day from Perry C. Don't forget to sign up for tonight's, open share groups and tune in for CR Friday Night Live! See info Below...

Which way?

“This is what the Lord says: Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is and walk in it and you will find rest for your souls.”  Jeremiah 6:16

Being a Coloradoan I love to hike.  Have you ever been hiking and all of a sudden you’re not sure which way the trail goes? When this happens to me, I stop and look for clues indicating which way the hikers before me have gone.  Sometimes it’s a worn footpath, sounds of other hikers or cleared foliage.  And when faced with nothing but rock and boulders around me, I look for a cairn (a pile of stones left as a landmark) by predecessors, to guide my way.

For anyone new to recovery there is a community of folks who have walked the path before you by following the 12 steps. Look, listen and follow us.
Step 1. We admit we are powerless on our own to change
Step 2. We came to believe in God and his restorative power
Step 3. We made a decision to stop walking and turn our life and will over to the care of God.

Psalm 16:11 says, “You have made known to me the path of life”.  This path will lead you to freedom and joy.  Come join us.

If you would like someone to reach out to you, text us your E-mail and name to 970-645-6109 and we will have someone from within CR reach out to you.

UPDATES/REMINDERS:
  1. Tonight at 6:30pm.  We are going to start a "CR Friday Night Live."  There will be a song or two of worship and then a short recovery based dialog between a couple of CR members.  This will be streamed on youtube.  To subscribe to our youtube channel  please click on the following link and select the subscribe button.  CR Youtube Channel Link
  2. Tonight we will be starting on-line open share group meetings at 7:30pm.  There will be one mixed issues group for men and one mixed issues group for women.  These meetings will take place using the Zoom App.  In order to participate you will need a tablet, smart-phone or computer with camera.  In order to ensure confidentiality of these meetings everyone who participates will need to find a private room to set up, have their camera on, so others can see that there is no one else in the room and they will also need to wear a pair of headphones so that they are the only ones that can hear.  This is a free app and you can download it on google play, apple app store or through your web-browser on your computer.  If you would like to register for either the men's or the women's share group, click on one of the following links. Men's Open Share Group Sign-Up / Women's Open Share Group Sign-Up . For help on how to join a Zoom meeting please click on the the following link, which will take you to their support web-site Zoom Set-Up Help

Blessings,
James U.
