Recovery Thought of the Day
Psalm 23: 1-3

Every morning when I spend time with God, I ask what may I bring our CR community at Crossroads?  Today, listen with new ears to the ancient psalm and how it speaks to us in recovery.

The Lord Is my shepherd, is he yours? Step 3-Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control.
I do not want. Christ the good shepherd provides, nurtures and protects his sheep. He knows everything we need.  With an attitude of gratitude, we bring to God any requests we have and share with a friend how they can pray for us. Then we wait & watch God work on our behalf.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, In the west many of us go at an unsustainable pace that is unhealthy. God knows what we need: time to stop, rest and listen to the voice of the shepherd. Sometimes God makes us lie down.  Covid-19 shelter-at-home is one such time.
He leads me beside quiet waters, Jesus wants to lead us to a place where we experience calm over our anxious thoughts and deep peace to our soul.  Let go of trying to fix things on your own. Trust your shepherd.  Picture God guiding you to a serene mountain lake, be still, take in the beauty of creation.
He refreshes my soul. Today let the good shepherd breath peace and joy into your life, right where you are, whatever you’re doing, receive it. Then reach out to a friend, accountability partner or sponsor and share what typically stops you from receiving this gift of peace from Jesus?
If you would like someone to reach out to you, text us your E-mail and name to 970-645-6109 and we will have someone from within CR reach out to you.
