Recovery Thought of the Day - April 16th

Good Morning CR Family!

Please see below for the Recovery Thought of the Day from Kimberly A.  Also, make sure you check out the announcements at the end of this E-mail for the Sign-Up links for Friday's Open Share Group Meetings. In addition, you are not going to want to miss this Friday's CR Friday Night Live.  I am going to have some special guest and we are going to discuss our recovery tool-boxes. The announcements also has a link for you to tune in to that.

Recovery Thought of the Day:

With all the information going around in the media and with those we connect with daily; I often feel frustrated and overwhelmed.  My heart’s desire is for someone to tell me when this nightmare will be over, and when can we go back to the way’s things use to be?

Then my heavenly father comes into my heart and reminds me that he is holding me and the rest of this world in the palm of his hand.  I am quickly reminded of Psalm 62:6 “Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken” Even though this world has so much uncertainty and it seems that our leaders are just as uncertain as I am about our current situation; we need to remember that our Heavenly father is running the show!  He is not surprised by this situation and he promises to give us a way through difficult time. He desires to be near and close to us. It is through these trials that we find our way back to Him.

So, if you have days where you are feeling frustrated, overwhelmed and discouraged like me; remember that you are not alone!  You have a Heavenly Father that is working behind the scenes and paving a way through the darkness! He is the solid rock on which you can stand firmly on during this time.

We were not meant to do this alone!  When you are having deep emotions that seem to be taking over your thoughts; I encourage you to reach out to your accountability partner, Sponsor or friend to process your feelings.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, 12 says,
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

If you would like someone to reach out to you, text us your E-mail and name to 970-645-6109 and we will have someone from within CR reach out to you.

Note: The thought of the days along with other key updates will also be posted on our facebook page (Celebrate Recovery at Crossroads Church Facebook Page) and for those without facebook, they will also be posted on the following blog site: https://crossroadscr.blogspot.com
